Blencathra

Blencathra is one of the finest fells in Lakeland. Prominently seen when approaching along the A66 to the east, its fine form makes it instantly recognisable. There are many routes of ascent, the finest of which being Hall's Fell Ridge which leads directly south from the summit, and the celebrated Sharp Edge, an airy scramble that can make Striding Edge seem a picnic.
